Apply generously, but not so much that the fabric is dripping.

2. Gently pat the saturated cloth onto the area of your baby’s body that you’d like to cleanse. Hold the cloth to your baby’s skin for 3-5 seconds. 3. Wipe the wet cloth along the same area of your baby’s skin that you held the cloth to in Step 2. It’s OK to wipe the same area several times if necessary. Remember, if you’re using [https://biodermaindia.com/does-micellar-water-work-on-acne-prone-skin/ Micellar water for acne prone skin] water to clean your baby’s diaper area, be sure to wipe from front to back! 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all other parts of your baby’s skin that need to be cleansed. That’s all there is to it!

Using micellar water is as quick and easy as it is safe and effective. There are just a few additional tips you should know before getting started. First, if you’re cleansing your baby’s diaper area, it’s best to use cotton pads rather than a washcloth. That way, you can throw each cotton pad away after using it. Of course, you can use cotton pads to cleanse any part of your baby’s body. Just make sure to toss them in the trash after each use. Second, if you prefer using a washcloth, make sure to use a soft, gentle cloth that won’t be too harsh on your baby’s delicate skin. Also, try to use different areas of the washcloth to cleanse different parts of your baby’s skin.

After one piece of the cloth has been used, it will have microscopic dirt and oil particles attached to it, so you wouldn’t want to rub that same piece of cloth against your baby’s skin again. When Should You Use Micellar Water? As we mentioned earlier, micellar water was developed to allow the men and women of Paris to cleanse their faces without having to use the city’s harsh tap water. Nowadays, many women use it as a makeup remover or as a gentle cleanser for when a traditional lather-and-rinse cleansing isn’t possible. But what about your little bundle of joy? When should you use micellar water on your baby? While changing your baby’s diaper. Micellar water is extra helpful after a particularly dirty diaper. When you’re traveling or going on vacation.

When you don’t have time to go through your baby’s entire daily hygiene routine. Micellar water can’t completely replace baths, but it serves as an effective substitute when life gets hectic. If your baby has dry or eczema-prone skin. Bathing multiple times a day can remove moisture from your baby’s skin, so using Mustela’s No Rinse Soothing Cleansing Water can help keep your little one’s skin clean and hydrated between baths. With so many different uses, micellar water is a must-have skincare product—for both you and your baby! It’s one of the few items that belong in your makeup bag and in your little one’s diaper bag. And now that the baby exerts at Mustela have brought you up to speed, you can start putting micellar water to use in all the best ways!

After skin started breaking out really badly due to stress, one of the major skincare changes I made was to switch my make-up remover from oil cleansers to cleansing water. They're really light and feel just like water, and they're very gentle on painful cystic acne bumps. Micellar solutions can be used as a toner as well, but I've only used them to remove make-up. So far I've tried 3 brands - Avene, Bioderma and Uriage. 26 after a 30% discount.youtube.com It lasts me about a month with daily use. The fragrance is quite strong and smells like an expensive face cream. I find Avene's micellar lotion the most gentle of the three, and leaves my skin feeling the softest, I think because it's the only one of the three that contains sodium hyaluronate.

If the lotion accidentally gets into my eyes, it doesn't sting too much. Ingredients: Avene Thermal Spring Water, Cocamidopropyl Betainamide Mea Chloride, Poloxamer 188, Bisabolol, Fragrance, Peg/Ppg-14/14 Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trisodium Edta. This comes in various sizes. 40 on sale. It's fragrance free and smells like saline. I find the Bioderma is the best at removing makeup as compared to the others. However, it stings if it gets into my eyes. Ingredients: water (aqua), peg-6 caprylic/capric glycerides, propylene glycol, cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, mannitol, xylitol, rhamnose, fructooligosaccharides, disodium edta, cetrimonium bromide. 30. This isn't actually a micellar cleanser, it's just a regular cleansing water. The Beauty Brains explains what micellar water is.

Uriage does make a micellar solution too, but I bought this cleansing water accidentally instead. It smells a little yeasty, like beer. I find that this doesn't clean as well as Avene or Bioderma. This also stings if it gets into my eyes. I did a little experiment on the cleansing power - I swatched black pencil eyeliner (Urban Decay Perversion), Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus mascara and Ettusais BB cream on my arm and tried to remove them.youtube.com I used just one cotton pad. As you can see, Bioderma has the best cleansing power, followed by Avene, then Uriage. All three don't remove the Majolica Majorca mascara easily. They're all quite comparable in price and effectiveness. Personally I will stick with Bioderma because I'm more cost-conscious, but I would choose Avene if it was more affordable. Micellar waters are pretty expensive really, and are more expensive in Singapore. I think I will stock up when I go overseas - there are bundled promotions in Taiwan drugstores, especially in summer, when people want to use lighter cleansing waters in the hot weather.

Everyone knows that cleansing is an important steps in our skincare routine! So today's post will be on the 2 major cleansing products that I have been using to remove all my makeup. P.S: Today's review won't be an in-depth one but more on a casual note, sharing my views on the product and whether it's a go to purchase from my view. Micellar cleansing water is a hit product right now with multiple brands that coming out with their own versions. It can be hard to choose the one that works for you. I first started using micellar water 2-3 years ago.

My to go brand was Bioderma. It was really good and was the reason that got me into the whole micellar water wave thingy. However, it's on the pricer side. Buying online was definitely cheaper but it comes with a risk of getting an imitation one! Hence, I went on a search for a dupe. Found the Beauty Diary one that just launched in Watsons at that time and was on a 20% discount. Grabbed it, used it, and I loved it!youtube.com Overall verdict: Does what it claims, removes makeup well, no parabens and etc. Downside is that it requires a rinse after. I guess you can do without but I find that there's this residue feeling that's left behind which I prefer to just do a quick rinse after.

This product plays a huge role in my cleansing routine in 2016 & 2017. Would I recommend it? Yes, for those who are looking for a lower price point cleansing water. Got a lil bored of it and since I'm a happy user to their micellar water, I thought I would give their eye makeup remover a try. Reason being is that it doesn't contain this one ingredient that the Bifesta one has. I can't remember if it's mineral oil or parabens. Overall verdict: Removes stubborn eyes and lips really well. Doesn't sting my eyes.youtube.com There isn't any downside to it that I'll complain. The opening of its cover is in a simple open and close manner; easier as compared to the Bifesta's twist and turn kind. And is priced at a very affordable price point too! Do look out for my next review on my top favourites in 2017!
