Media captionWATCH: Simon Daykin's house keep a close eye over him As I step into the hallway in Simon Daykin's New Forest home, his smartwatch goes into overdrive. He is receiving messages from the house itself, warning him there is somebody inside it doesn't recognise. If it's someone it 'knows', it will tell me. One of the big next steps is being able to talk to the house or use a digital assistant so you don't have to touch anything.youtube.com It's certainly intensely private information.youtube.com But if you install a smart home operated by a tech giant, it's exactly the sort of thing you could inadvertently be sharing. I want to protect the data but also I don't want somebody taking control of my house or exploiting it to do something else as we've seen with recent botnet attacks.

I think that's one of the biggest challenges that tech faces - how do you make these things accepted? I think there are many people who are uncomfortable with it - who go to great pains to try to protect their privacy - but even those people will surrender their privacy in order to access services that they need. Some tech has more longevity than others. One of Mr Daykin's early experiments was a bathroom-based sound system controlled by rubber ducks that became magnetic controls when placed against the metal bath tub, allowing bathers to control the sound and change the music.

I believe it should light for a couple of seconds if the unit is turned on, then it will turn the light off(and it is fully charged). If it is turned off it will not light at all with the USB cable plugged in.. Always charge the unit by plugging the USB cable into a computer. When the unit is fully charged the light will stop flashing and remain lit. I think it takes a couple of hours to fully charge the battery. How to know if it's 100%? No this type of player is pretty basic. It just plays and allows you to go forward or back 1 song at a time, no shuffle that I'm aware of.

Does it have shuffle function ? When the unit is fully charged the light will stop flashing and remain lit. 3 player was fully charged? Your Question: Hi um, when I plug in the player into the computer, it doesn't show the file. What am I supposed to do? First - Make sure the player is turned on and then make sure that the SD card is in correctly(Sometimes it shows up on your computer with a name like "Removable Disk" and a Letter). If the card is not readable you will probably get an error like this( Please insert a Disk into the Removeable (or name) disk).

I've not done that, but I don't think that should affect anything related to the charging. Hi there, i have a question for you . SD Card while player on charge? Hi um, when I plug in the player into the computer, it doesn't show the file. What am I supposed to do? Sorry to response so late, but I've been very busy with some things here. There is NO internal memory on my player and you must have an SD card to store any music. These units rely on the external card for storage. Can you add music from the computer with your USB without having an SD card in the MP3 player? That sounds like an issue with the USB port on the computer or the connector on the MP3 player.

Did you try a different USB port on the computer or a different connecting adapter? To rule out the USB port as a problem try to plug any other USB device in that drive and see if the computer recognizes that. If the computer recognizes another connected device, then it could be a problem in the MP3 player or USB connector. Hope this helps and good luck. I plugged the USB it says that the USB device is unrecognized and it's not blinking . Never heard of this, the only thing I can think of is the battery Not charging?

I wonder if the battery in the unit won't hold a charge anymore and that is why you play from the computers power but not the mp3 alone. I'm only aware of using the USB connection to the computer to charge it. I don't think they make an adapter that can be plugged into an Electric outlet when I wrote this, but maybe that will change. I charged it without plugging it in the computer? When it's plugged in and it blinks (flashing) that means it's not fully charged. It will stop blinking when it is charged.youtube.com Leave it charging until it stops blinking. Hi, Thanks so much! I found this article very hepful since i just bought a purple mini mp3 player like the one displayed in the pictures above.

If it doesn't blink when it's plugged into the Computer USB Drive then it should mean that it's fully charged. The blinking when playing is ok. 3. quand on le branche sur le pc, quand il le reconnait (juste avec la prise chargeur), il demande de le formater et refuse d'ouvrir le dossier. I believe that means that the battery is fully charged when it stops blinking and is still plugged into the computer. What happens when it doesn't blink anymore after blinking a couple of minutes ago, and i have it in the computer. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with it. I love the color of your mp3 player.

LED’s (or light-emitting diodes) are a type of light source technology that’s grown in leaps and bounds in recent years. LED lights are currently the most efficient way to light up a room, in comparison to older technologies like CFL, halogen or incandescent bulbs. They are longer-lasting, emit little heat, and are more energy-efficient than these rival forms of lighting. They’re also safer due to the lack of lead and mercury, dangerous metals found in some alternatives. How do LED lights work? LEDs are found in everything from smartwatches to television screens and digital clocks. These tiny light bulbs are small enough to fit into an electrical circuit, but they don’t have a filament like incandescent bulbs do.

This keeps them from heating up and burning out. Instead, they’re illuminated by electronics moving in a semiconductor material. This gives them an extra-long lifespan because they don’t burn out like an incandescent bulb one day will. • You’ll find LED bulbs to fit most existing lamps or sockets, including reflectors, standard GLS, candles, spotlights, and others. Check your light source to see what type of bulb you need to fit. • Colour is another way to narrow down your LED light options. Light output is usually available in warm white, daylight, or cool white tones. For most residential interiors, you’ll want to choose warm white. • Do you want dimmable LED lights?youtube.com Look for this feature marked on the package. However, one thing to bear in mind is that because LEDs use less power overall, they don’t work very well with existing dimmer switches. You’ll need to find trailing edge dimmers that are specifically designed for use with LED lighting. Are you looking for LED lights or different types of lighting solutions?
