Tokyo Girls' Style, A Pop Music Group That is Popular in France! What is Tokyo Girls' Style?osaka-kasen-portal.net Japan is well known for its anime and pop music. One of the newest pop music groups (at the time) from this large Asian nation is Tokyo Girls’ Style. I discovered about this group one morning a few years ago actually and they seem to be pretty good. Japanese pop music has an acquired taste.youtube.com It seems that people either like it or they don't. The group is also known as Tokyo Joshiryu. The band was formed officially on January 1, 2010 and their official website was started.

The objective was to introduce one member a day but all the girls were introduced. But before this, there were various media reports that made announcements about them. The group is compared to groups such as Dream and SweetS. Tokyo Girls’ Style is signed to avex trax. The group made their concert debut on February 7, 2010 at Shibuya O-nest. A few months later on May 5, 2010, the group released their very first single called Kirari.youtube.com On May 19, they released their 2nd single called Onnaji Kimochi. Who are the members of Tokyo Girls' Style? The group consists of five members. Band leader Miyu Yamabe was born on June 24, 1996 in Chiba, Japan.

Her favorite artist is Ayumi Hamasaki. She enjoys drawing and dancing in her spare time. Her favorite color is pink. That’s one of my favorite colors too actually. Yuri Nakae was born in Osaka, Japan. She has the special skills of martial dance and sword battles. Her favorite dance genres are jazz and hip-hop. And her favorite colors are purple and black. Mei Shyoji was born on July 2, 1997 in Yamagata, Japan. She has the O blood type. Ayano Konishi was born on December 15, 1997 in Osaka, Japan. She also has the O blood type and her favorite colors are white and pink.

One of her favorite artists is the Korean pop singer Boa. Hitomi Arai was born on April 10, 1998 in Miyagi Prefecture. She enjoys snowboarding on her spare time. Her favorite artists are Kumi Koda, Ayumi Hamasaki, and the lovely Namie Amuro. Tokyo Girls' Style has achieved fame in France as well! The group has several singles including "Liar" which is a nice up-tempo kind of song. "Limited Addiction" which comes off of the album of the same name sounds kind of like a type of song that the Bee Gees would have done at the height of their popularity.

Their debut album called "Kodou no Himitsu" was released in May 2011. In December 2012, the group would hold an event known as a one man live event. It was held on December 22nd of that year in the venue Nippon Budokan. Can you guess why that venue is significant? Nippon Budokan is significant because that was the same venue in which Risa Niigaki (ex-Morning Musume) had her graduation concert seven months before the event that Tokyo Girls’ Style held. These girls became the youngest female group at the time to ever perform there with an average age of just 15. They would hold a concert on December 22, 2013 as well. In July 2014, Tokyo Girls’ Style would travel to San Francisco to perform at the J-Pop Summit Festival.

The group decided in January 2015 to go away from their "idol" kind of image and just focus on becoming artists. They would release their first greatest hits album called "1st BEST ALBUM Kirari." That album was released on May 5, 2015 and this was five years after they made their debut to commemorate a new chapter in their career. For those that enjoy the music of Tokyo Girls’ Style, I also recommend the group called Vanilla Beans. Tokyo Girls’ Style albums are sold in countries like Taiwan and Hong Kong. They have also ranked in the Top 10 of the J-Pop music charts in France! With their success however, the group has experienced setbacks.

It was reported in June 2015 that Ayano Konishi was putting a temporary halt to her work with the band because of lower back pain. Konishi decided to take part in the group’s 5th anniversary event at the venue called Zepp Diver City Tokyo. But her back pain got worse as a result of this decision. Tokyo Girls Style released their 23rd single as a group called Water Lily Suiren on July 5th 2017. The video for this single shows these girls moving back and forth in a dance motion either on the floor or underwater. The video also shows that they are not portrayed as Japanese idols and instead they look beautiful, elegant, and mature.jw-webmagazine.com Ayano Konishi would be very proud of this effort!
